OSUEcoCAR
Our Mission

To engineer cleaner mobility — and the engineers who build it.

OSU EcoCAR exists to give students the rare chance to take a vehicle from concept to competition. We develop advanced propulsion, automated-driving, and energy-management systems while training the next generation of automotive and mobility leaders.

Propulsion & Controls

Battery integration, motor control, and the embedded software that manages every electron on board.

EV Motor & Battery Integration

High-voltage system design, pack architecture, and thermal management for real-world performance.

Outreach & Business

Partnerships, communications, and STEM outreach that sustain the program and its community.

01 — The Vehicle

From Showroom to Race-Ready

We start with a production SUV and rebuild its powertrain, controls, and software from the ground up — every subsystem documented, tested, and validated for competition.

02 — The People

Engineers Made in the Garage

No prior experience required — just curiosity. Members learn by doing alongside faculty advisors and industry mentors, then carry that into careers across the mobility industry.
